HOW IT GOT STARTED

What is it that fuels you? For me, it used to be beer & pizza. But today, it’s The Healthy Bloke.


And over the last few year's I've come to a very clear point in life where I want to help inspire other blokes to get off that couch, shed a few kilos and most importantly start living a healthier life.

As you can see from the photo above I look like I had eaten myself! :)

It's funny because as a tall bloke I could get away with being on the big side but the reality was at 105kgs with a sedentary lifestyle, zero exercise, stress, lots of booze, pizza (and all the other good stuff), it was no surprise I would be massively out of breath just walking up the stairs! Let alone chase the kids around.


Getting out of that rut was not easy either. It took me 4 years to shed the 29kgs that was hanging off me, lots of sporting injuries and set backs that I thought would derail any improvements to my fitness.

But I got there. I changed my entire attitude to my health and was not going to let anyone stop me. And as I became fitter and healthier, I become more and more motivated. I educated myself, set challenging goals and made sure I was around people who supported, inspired and pushed me.

So much so, I became a personal trainer and I'm currently completing a degree in Clinical Nutrition.
